Bonnie's first gifts

It has been almost two months since the launch of our Bonnie Memorial Fund and since then we have raised over $9,000! This is absolutely incredible. On behalf of our entire organization we want to say thank you to each and every person that donated and helped to spread the work that we are doing.

With these funds we were able to provide stipends to five teachers of the Burundian American Association's, Heritage Learning Program. R.O.C. Inc. has been providing stipends to these Burundian teachers who have dedicated their Saturday's to supporting their communities by keeping their heritage alive. These teachers teach the students Kirundi (from Burundi), French, and Swahili. Thank you Aline, Noel, Innocent, Michel, and Onesime for your support and dedication to this program!

We also were able to purchase multiple pairs of boots for several new Congolese families in the Burlington area.

In addition we purchased two Chromebook computers for our upcoming trip to Ghana in January. These two laptops will be the platform for the launch of our virtual education program where Ghanian students will be able to work on a semester long project with four students from a Vermont High School. This program will be overseen by Kofi Nyalimba, our in-country director, and we will be working in collaboration with the Ghanian schools.

These laptops will also be able to be used for patient-data entry for the medical portion of the upcoming trip to Ghana.

Thank you for your continued support of our organization. We know that Bonnie is looking down and smiling. Stay tuned for lots of pictures once we get to Ghana :)
